Izabela Plucinska - Animation, Director
Biography
- Izabela Plucinska was born in Koszalin (Poland) and attended the Academy of Art in Lodz and the film school. On graduation, she came to the “Konrad Wolf” University of Film and Television in Potsdam-Babelsberg with a DAAD scholarship in 2002. Since “Jam Session”, which won the Silver Bear in 2003, she has produced three further animated films: “Breakfast, “7 more minutes” and “Marathon”. “Breakfast” won the Renzo Kinoshia Prize in Hiroshima in 2008.
Michael Rueger - Producer, Creator
Biography
- Michael Rueger (41) left his daily routine as a tv and advertising producer (NDF, Grundy UFA, BBDO, among others) to devote himself completely to interactive media. Today he creates and produces games, toys and cross-platform content for international firms. In addition, he teaches regularly at the Ludwigsburg Film Academy, the Hamburg Mediaschool, the Bavarian Academy for Advertising and Marketing and the HFF “Konrad Wolf”. He gives talks at international conferences, as, e.g., Imagine the Future, FMX, Cartoon Media, Crossing Europe and writes for the Asian magazine, “Animation Reporter”.
Fursy Teyssier - Animation, Director, Winner previous year
Biography
- Fursy Teyssier was born in Bagnols/Cèze (Southern France) in 1985. He studies animation at the École Emile Cohl in Lyon and completed his studies in 2007 with his 2D animated film, “Tir Nan Og”. The touching story about a girl’s farewell from her grandmother ran last year at sehsüchte and won the animated film prize. In the meantime, Fursy has been working as a graphic designer for film titles, advertising and short films, as well as on cover design for bands. His new animated film, “Le Printemps Des Discrets” is already in planning.
Christoffer Wolters - 3D-animation
Biography
- Christoffer Wolters was born in Rehde in 1977. After studying Cognitive Science in Osnabruck, he worked as a freelance 3D operator in Hamburg and taught a course on cinema 4D at the HFBK. Together with Andre Junker, he founded the 3D production agency, nform, in 2006, which won the commission from the communications agency Nordpol for the animated Image film for asics in the following year: “In Pursuit of Perfection“ performed convincingly at the New York film Festival, winning the ADC and the Clio Award.
