The Award of the Prizes

After five days packed with dramatic and gripping scenes on the screen and full of events, discussions and parties, sehsüchte arrives at its provisional climax in its glamorous prizegiving. This evening, we’ll see which films have managed to convince the juries and the audiences in the last few days. Which up and coming filmmakers are going to be able to accept the sought-after prizes in the International Competition? Who are going to be the winners in the sections for Focus, Children’s Film and Best Producer?
Who is going to win the Special Prize against Discrimination? Which authors have won in the Screenplay Prize and the pitch!? And which film is going to take the Audience Prize? There’s only one thing that is certain in advance: an evening of guaranteed drama and emotion right up to the end of the day - when the fourteen happy winners will stand on the stage, and the word goes out: YES, WE CANNES!
